About this Animal Page

In our Veterinary Practice we treat a wide variety of animals, and are asked questions about a whole lot more, some of which we may never actually see. Our vets and nurses spend a lot of time giving information to our clients and to other members of the public, usually at no cost to the enquirer.

The aim of this page is to make available to our clients, and anyone else who is interested, some basic information about animals and their care, including the sort of information for which we are frequently requested. This is a free community service by our practice.

There is already a lot of useful information on the Web. The problem is finding it. I have not aimed to provide a comprehensive listing of all animal sites, but rather a selective listing based on my observation of the available sites and their content. Links to the more comprehensive sites are included. Where certain information does not appear to be available elsewhere, I have included some of the relevant information in our pages.

The animals covered include the types of pet and farm animals commonly (or less commonly) found in Australia, as well as Australian native fauna.

No liabilty is taken for any inaccuracies found within the pages, though I have tried to make them as accurate and up to date as possible. I would also stress that for anyone wuth a problem concerning their animal's health, the best source of information is their own veterinarian.

The pages can usually be navigated by clicking on links, and using the "Return" links to return to the previous level. When the link takes you to an outside web site, you can usually return to our page by using the "Back" or "Go to" buttons provided on Netscape or Explorer software. Better still, bookmark the pages that you wish to return to.

I hope that this information will be useful and informative to you.

Best wishes
Rob Wylie.
